Where pick-ups happen, terminal by terminal
Stopping to collect someone on the terminal forecourts is prohibited at Heathrow. Pick-ups happen in the car parks instead, and each terminal has a meeting point inside arrivals:

How a Tick Taxi Heathrow pickup works

- You're met once you're through arrivals. By default the driver meets you at the terminal after you clear arrivals. With meet and greet, an optional £15, the driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board.
- The driver loads the bags and drives you home. The fare to Bristol is from £179, fixed when you book, with no night rate, and the same in both directions. Airport pickups get 45 minutes free from the actual landing time.

How long from landing to the car at Heathrow?
Heathrow is a much bigger walk than Bristol. Tick Taxi drivers' typical time, for a passenger with checked luggage when the airport is busy, is 45 minutes to 1.5 hours from landing to reaching the car. That's why the driver works from the actual landing time rather than the timetable, and why it helps to message when you're through passport control and again when you have your bags.

The free option is Park & Ride: the first 29 minutes are free, and shuttle buses run every 15 minutes from the terminal doors. For Terminal 4, Park & Ride Zone A has 2 hours free.
Put those next to our drivers' typical 45 minutes to 1.5 hours for a passenger with bags at a busy time, and parking in Terminal Parking as the plane lands puts you in the £15.50 or £20 band before they reach the car. Park when they message that they're through, not when the plane lands.
