Where does my taxi driver meet me at Bristol Airport?

Bristol Airport is small, which works in your favour. There's one terminal and one way out. Three steps from the plane to the car:

1. Arrivals exit. Out through the main doors of the arrivals hall.
2. Transport Interchange. Follow the covered walkway east, past the bus and coach stands.
3. Drop Off & Pick Up car park. Your driver is parked and waiting. You'll have the car, the registration and the bay from their message, so you walk to a specific space rather than scanning a car park.

From baggage reclaim to the car is usually under five minutes, which is less time than the queue at the rental desks. The Short Stay and Multi-Storey car parks are further west, so if you find yourself walking towards those you've gone the wrong way.

There is no free stopping at the terminal. The Drop Off & Pick Up car park is pay on exit and the tariff steps up quickly, which is why your driver will ask you to message the moment you have your bags. Ten minutes is the working limit for a pickup. Past that, the charge climbs.

Two hours is the maximum stay, and there is a 2.5m height limit. It is fully cashless: the barrier reads your registration on entry and you pay on exit by contactless, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no card surcharge. Blue Badge holders get up to 40 minutes for £8.50 by scanning the barcode on the back of the badge at the exit barrier. On a booking with us that parking cost is already inside your fixed fare, so none of it lands on you as an extra.

Don't stop on the approach roads to avoid the fee. The airport road network is a camera-enforced Red Route: no stopping even to collect someone, and the penalty is £100, reduced to £60 within 14 days.

This is the part people worry about, and it's the part that's already handled. Your driver tracks the flight, so they know when you actually landed rather than when you were scheduled to. While you're still in baggage reclaim they wait in the airport's free Waiting Zone near the Car Rental Centre, free for up to 60 minutes, then drive round to collect you when you message that you're out.

That's why the timed stop and our 45 minutes of free waiting from landing don't conflict. The free waiting covers you. The ten minute stop is only the collection itself.

First time flying into Bristol, travelling with small children and a luggage mountain, or booking for a visitor, a client or your parents. The driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board, takes the trolley, and walks everyone out to the car. For a regular solo traveller it's a nice-to-have. For someone in their late seventies arriving alone, it's the right call.
