No. Bristol Airport has no railway station, so you reach it from the rail network by Airport Flyer bus: the A1 from Bristol Temple Meads takes about 35 minutes and costs £9.50 single, 24 hours a day, and the A3 links the airport with Worle station. Tick Taxi runs fixed fares to the terminal from towns across South Wales and the South West, such as Cardiff from £109 and Exeter from £139, the same price in both directions.
Checked October 2026.
From the railway to the terminal
Three Airport Flyer routes connect the terminal with railway stations:
| Station | Airport Flyer | Journey to or from the airport |
|---|---|---|
| Bristol Temple Meads | A1, 24 hours a day, £9.50 single | About 35 minutes |
| Worle | A3 | About 30 minutes |
| Nailsea & Backwell | A2 | About 15 minutes |
You can buy one ticket for the train and the bus. GWR sells combined rail and Flyer tickets: choose "Bristol Airport (A1 Bristol)" as the station. Trainline sells them to "Bristol Airport (Any)" and adds the bus connection for you. On the way home there's a rail ticket machine on the Arrivals concourse.
Train times change, so check your own journey on National Rail rather than relying on a timetable from us.

From further away: rail, coach or a fixed fare
Four coach routes run straight to the airport, with no change onto a bus at the end. Here they are next to the rail route and our fixed fare from the door to the terminal:
| From | By rail | Direct coach or bus to the airport | Tick Taxi, door to terminal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cardiff | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | National Express 216 (up to 6 a day) or Flixbus (up to 12 a day) | from £109 |
| Newport | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | National Express 216 or Flixbus | from £89 |
| Swansea | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | Flixbus, via Bridgend, Cardiff and Newport | from £159 |
| Exeter | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1, or to Worle, then the A3 | South West Falcon (up to 20 a day) | from £139 |
| Plymouth | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1, or to Worle, then the A3 | South West Falcon, via Exeter and Taunton | from £265.05 |
| Taunton | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1, or to Worle, then the A3 | South West Falcon | from £79 |
| Gloucester | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | National Express 100 (up to 7 a day) | from £95 |
| Cheltenham | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | National Express 100, from Arle Court Park & Ride | from £109 |
| Swindon | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | None on the airport's list | from £113 |
| Bath | Train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the A1 | The A4 Airport Flyer, hourly | from £59 |
| Weston-super-Mare | Not needed | The A3 Airport Flyer, from Weston railway station and Worle | from £49 |
Whether the train needs a change before Temple Meads depends on where and when you travel, which is another one for National Rail. From Devon and Somerset, check which trains stop at Worle before planning on the A3.
Coach and bus routes and their daily frequencies from Bristol Airport, bus and coach, checked October 2026. Tick Taxi fares are saloon "from" fares for up to 4 passengers, fixed when you book, the same in both directions; each town links to its route page.
The early-flight problem
Bristol Airport recommends being in the terminal at least two hours before your flight's scheduled departure. For a flight at 6am that means arriving by 4am, and the A1 leg alone is about 35 minutes, so the train has to reach Temple Meads in the middle of the night. Check the first train from your station on National Rail for your date before you rely on it.
If it doesn't fit, that is the gap a taxi fills. Tick Taxi runs 24/7, collects from your door at whatever hour the flight needs, and there is no night rate, so the fare is the one in the table above. The driver loads the bags.

Arriving in Bristol by train for a flight
If you'd rather take the train into Bristol and a taxi from there, we collect at every Bristol station. Tell us which train you're on, and tell us if it's late: train pickups include 10 minutes' free waiting, where airport pickups get 45 minutes from the actual landing time. Fares and where the driver meets you are on each station's page: Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway, the coach station, Bristol Brabazon and Ashley Down, all gathered on the Bristol station taxi hub.
