For a 6am flight from Bristol Airport, a Tick Taxi should collect you by 3:20am at the latest from Bath, 3:30am from Weston-super-Mare and 2:55am from Cardiff. That's the departure time, minus the airport's advice to be there at least 2 hours before, minus our scheduled journey time, rounded down to the nearest 5 minutes. The table below does the same sum for all 23 towns we run to the airport from, for 6am, 7am and 9am departures.
Checked October 2026.
The rule
Latest pickup = departure time − 2 hours − our scheduled journey time, rounded down to the nearest 5 minutes.
The 2 hours is Bristol Airport's own advice: be in the terminal at least two hours before your flight's scheduled departure. The journey time is the one we plan every pickup to the airport around. Worked through for a 6am flight: 6:00am minus 2 hours is 4:00am. From Bath, minus our scheduled 40 min, that's 3:20am. From Plymouth, minus our scheduled 2h 16m, it's 1:44am, rounded down to 1:40am.

A planning guide, not a booking time
These are the latest times on paper, with nothing spare: no allowance for roadworks, weather or a queue at the drop-off. Two things can make your real pickup earlier:
- Your airline's own deadline. Bag drop and check-in close at times the airline sets, which this table doesn't know. Check your booking.
- The hour and the season. That's why the leave times on How early should I get to Bristol Airport? and What time do I need to leave Bath for a 6am flight? build in a buffer, and are earlier than this table.
The simplest way is to tell us your flight time when you book. We set the pickup from your flight, and the driver is outside at that time. Tick Taxi runs 24/7, there's no night rate, and the driver loads the bags.
From somewhere in Bristol
Inside Bristol the drive depends on the area, so the leave times by area, for a 6am, 9am and 3pm flight, are on How early should I get to Bristol Airport?, and fares by area are on How much is a taxi from Bristol Airport to your area?
