Arrow Cars ran the official taxi rank at Bristol Airport for more than ten years, up to 31 January 2026. Zoom Cars took over on 1 February 2026 under a new five-year contract, so you can't book Arrow at the airport any more. Pre-booked fixed-price transfers start from £39 with us.
Checked August 2026.
What changed, and when
Bristol Airport put its taxi concession out to tender and awarded a new five-year contract to Zoom Cars, a family-run Bristol firm. The handover happened on Sunday 1 February 2026. Arrow Cars had been based at the airport for over a decade before that, which is why plenty of people still search for the name out of habit.
The airport said it picked Zoom on driver standards, vehicle age, environmental performance and operational resilience, with a commitment to a fully electric fleet by 2030.

Arrangements at the airport do change. Whoever you book with, it's worth confirming directly with them before you travel.
Your options at Bristol Airport today
| Option | To the city centre | Booked ahead? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked fixed price (us) | from £39 | Yes | Price fixed before you travel, driver tracks your flight |
| Official rank (Zoom Cars) | ask at the rank | No, walk up | Fine if you haven't booked, but you take whatever's next in line |
| Uber | typically £20 to £35, surges | App | No official rank at the airport, pickups can be scarce at 4am and late arrivals |
| A1 Flyer bus | from £9.50 | No | Runs 24 hours, up to every 8 minutes at peak, 30 to 40 minutes to Temple Meads |
If you're on your own with hand luggage and you're not in a hurry, the A1 Flyer is genuinely the cheapest way into Bristol and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. For two or more people with cases, or anything before 6am, a fixed-price car usually works out better per person and takes you to the door.
What you get with a pre-booked transfer
The price you're quoted is the price you pay. It doesn't move because the A38 is slow, because it's 4am, or because your flight came in two hours late. We track the flight number you give us and adjust the pickup, and the first 45 minutes after you land are free while you clear the terminal.
Payment is by card, there's no card fee, and you can cancel free up to 24 hours before pickup. Child, infant and booster seats are £5. Meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board is £15.

Where we pick up
Pre-booked cars use the short stay car park directly across from the terminal, a two minute walk from the single arrivals exit. Your driver sends you the bay number before you land. If you'd rather be met inside arrivals with a name board, that's the £15 meet and greet option, and it's worth it if you're travelling with children or a lot of luggage.
The Drop and Go zone at the front of the terminal charges from £8.50 for up to 10 minutes, and it's for drop-offs rather than pickups. The free alternative is the Waiting Zone at the Car Rental Centre, free for up to an hour with a shuttle to the terminal. Plenty of people get caught by that one.
