Zoom Cars vs Tick Taxi at Bristol Airport: which should you use?

Neither is wrong. If you land off-peak with hand luggage and no plan, the rank is simple. But if you want the lowest fixed price, a car that's guaranteed to be there on time, a driver who waits however late you land, and your own vehicle rather than a shared one, a pre-booked transfer wins on every count that costs you money or time.

Bristol Airport has no metered taxis, so both operators quote a price rather than run a meter. The difference is the number. Zoom's rank fare into Bristol is around £35 to £55 off-peak and climbs past £70 when several flights land together or on busy weekend and bank-holiday nights, which is exactly when most airport transfers happen. Because that fare tracks demand, Zoom is regularly the most expensive option at the airport.

Our transfers are a fixed £39 to the city centre, agreed before you travel and unaffected by demand, the time of day, or how long the A38 takes. In practice that's usually around 30 percent below the rank, and the gap is widest exactly when the rank is dearest.
