Which Bristol station taxi page do I want?

Six stations and one place still waiting for one, with the thing at each that usually decides whether you book a car.

Saloon prices for the whole car, up to 4 passengers, not per seat. The Ashley Down figure is an honest band rather than a quote, for the reason given on its own page.

Distance from the airport, and nothing else.

Temple Meads and the coach station both sit in the BS1 and BS2 city centre postcodes, which is the £39 band and about 25 minutes. Parkway and Brabazon are both BS34, out at Stoke Gifford, Filton and Patchway in north Bristol, which is the £49 band and about 35 minutes because the run is longer and crosses the city. Bath Spa is a different town entirely, hence £59.

Nothing about the fare depends on which station you use or how busy it is, and it does not move on the day. Areas we have not priced individually are banded honestly on the fares by area page, and the longer runs, Heathrow at £179 through to the Southampton cruise terminal at £159, are the same from all five stations and listed on the long-distance index.

We pick up from all six: Temple Meads, the bus and coach station, Parkway, Brabazon, Ashley Down and Bath Spa, at the prices above. We are a licensed private hire operator, so we are booked in advance and never picked up from a rank.

That matters at a station more than most places, because most of them have a rank right outside and it is not ours. Temple Meads has one on the forecourt, Parkway has one at the entrance, and Brabazon is being built with one. Those are for hackney carriages, which can queue for walk-up work. We cannot sit on them and we cannot be flagged down. What booking ahead gives you instead is a known price, a known vehicle size and a known time, at any hour. Your driver waits in the main pickup and drop-off area at the station, and confirms it with you when you book.

One thing that applies at every one of them, and is worth knowing before you book: tell us which train or coach you are on, and tell us straight away if it is delayed. The driver is timed to your actual arrival, and a station pickup includes five minutes' free waiting rather than the 45 minutes our airport work carries. The Henbury line reopens to passengers and Bristol gets a new station.

Bristol Brabazon is being built on the former Filton Airfield and is expected to open in autumn 2026, running hourly into Temple Meads and calling at Ashley Down on the way. The far end of that line, Henbury, has planning permission but is not expected until 2028. It is also the station for Aviva Arena when that opens in late 2028, which will put 20,000 people at a stop with an hourly train and no general public car park. We will publish arena pickup arrangements nearer the time rather than invent them two years early.
